Power delivery: 450cc Unicam® + PGM-FI

The CRF450X is built around a 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with Unicam® SOHC, four valves per cylinder. For riders, that translates to a strong, usable pull that works in tight sections and still has the legs for faster two-track.

Fueling is handled by PGM-FI with a 46mm throttle body, helping deliver consistent response as conditions change. If you ride across San Diego’s varied terrain—dusty hardpack, rocky climbs, and open desert—smooth, predictable throttle feel matters as much as outright power.
