755cc twin-cylinder engine
The engine on this bike is based on the Honda CB750 Hornet. It's a narrow parallel-twin design that delivers torque throughout the rev range. More power on low revs, easy cruising on the open road.

The 2026 Honda Transalp E-Clutch in Deep Pearl Gray blends real-world touring comfort with dirt-road capability in a middleweight adventure package. Power comes from a 755cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin with PGM-FI and a 270-degree-phase crank, paired with a six-speed manual featuring Honda E-Clutch for easy shifting with or without the lever. Long-travel, fully adjustable Showa suspension and spoked 21/18-inch wheels support mixed-surface riding, while ABS-equipped disc brakes and Honda Selectable Torque Control help you tune traction and intervention for conditions. A 5.0-inch TFT display, USB-C port, and rally-style fairing round out a well-equipped platform.
The Transalp’s six-speed manual is paired with Honda E-Clutch, letting you shift with your left foot without needing the handlebar-mounted clutch. Prefer a traditional feel? You can still use it as a conventional clutch. E-Clutch also acts as a quick-shifter, enabling clutchless, full-throttle gear changes up and down, adding convenience in traffic and confidence across changing road and trail conditions.
Up front, a 43mm Showa SFF-CA inverted fork offers adjustable compression and rebound damping with 7.9 inches of travel. Out back, a Pro-Link single Showa shock is also adjustable for compression and rebound, with 7.5 inches of travel. Together, the fully adjustable, long-travel setup is designed to balance composed pavement handling with the ability to handle rougher surfaces when the route turns to gravel or dirt.
Five riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and a custom setting) let you choose levels of power delivery, engine braking, and ABS intervention, with two User modes for custom settings. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) adds traction management for everything from pavement to gravel. A 5.0-inch full-color TFT display keeps key info in view, and a USB-C port adds everyday convenience.
At the heart of the 2026 Transalp E-Clutch is a 755cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin four-stroke with a Unicam SOHC valvetrain (four valves per cylinder), 11.0:1 compression ratio, and PGM-FI with a 46mm throttle body. The engine uses a 270-degree-phase crank, and Honda’s design includes a gear-driven counterbalancer that drives directly off the crank’s primary gear to reduce weight and complexity for a more compact layout.
Honda also uses a vortex air intake designed to speed up intake-charge airspeed at low- and mid-engine speeds from 3000 to 8000 rpm to support throttle response and acceleration. Final drive is via a #520 chain with 16T/45T gearing.
Adventure versatility starts with the Transalp’s spoked wheels and tire sizing: a 90/90-21 front and 150/70-18 rear, providing a traditional 21/18 setup with a wide range of tire options for different terrains. The chassis geometry lists a 27.0° rake, 4.4-inch trail, and 61.5-inch wheelbase, and the bike features a 42-degree steering lock to help with maneuvering at low speeds.
Seat height is 33.7 inches, with an optional 32.6-inch accessory seat available. Fuel capacity is 4.4 gallons, and curb weight is 468 pounds (includes all standard equipment, required fluids and a full tank of fuel).
Braking is handled by dual 310mm front discs and a single 256mm rear disc, both with ABS. The ABS is linked to riding modes, helping tailor intervention to conditions. For riders who plan to spend time on unpaved surfaces, rear-wheel ABS can be turned off for riding in the dirt.
Traction management comes from Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), designed to provide an appropriate level of performance across dirt, gravel, and pavement. Combined with the Transalp’s ride modes, this gives you multiple ways to set the bike up for changing weather, surface traction, and the type of route you’re riding.
The Transalp’s rally-style fairing is designed to balance wind and weather protection for long-distance riding. A 5.0-inch full-color TFT display presents core riding information including speed, fuel level, trip distance, and gear position, along with additional data. Honda RoadSync is included among the bike’s features, and a USB-C port is on hand for convenient device charging.
Details that add to everyday use include self-canceling turn signals. The bike also includes a standard rear carrier, and Honda notes extensive accessory options to tailor the Transalp for your kind of travel.
Honda includes a transferable, one year limited warranty with this model. If you want additional coverage options, extended coverage is available with a HondaCare Protection Plan.
