2027 KTM 690 RALLY - ORANGE
NOT IN STOCK: COMING SOON
The 2027 KTM 690 RALLY in ORANGE is a long-distance off-road machine built with Rally Raid-inspired performance in mind. Power comes from a liquid-cooled, 692.7 cm³ LC4 single-cylinder 4-stroke engine producing 79 PS and 73 Nm through a 6-speed transmission, managed by Keihin EMS with RBW and twin ignition. For covering remote terrain, it pairs WP XPLOR suspension travel (265 mm front, 250 mm rear) with a 20 l (5.28 US gal) fuel capacity using dual front tanks and a rear tank system. A 4.2" TFT display, LED lighting, and OFFROAD ABS round out the modern equipment.
20 L fuel system with active tank control
Built for distance, the 690 RALLY uses dual front fuel tanks plus the rear tank for a total capacity of 20 l (5.28 US gal). A dedicated fuel management system lets you actively switch between front and rear tanks using the handlebar-mounted switch cube, and the reserve light corresponds to the tank you’ve selected. It’s a practical setup for managing range and flexibility when routes get far from the familiar.
WP XPLOR suspension, fully tunable
The WP XPLOR-USD Ø 48 mm fork features separate compression and rebound damping adjustability, while the rear WP XPLOR shock with Pro-Lever linkage adds full adjustment including rebound, high- and low-speed compression, and preload. With 265 mm of front travel and 250 mm at the rear, the 690 RALLY is set up to be tailored to changing terrain, pace, and load.
Rally electronics and braking control
A 4.2" TFT display puts ride modes, navigation, and bike information in a compact layout designed to keep key data visible. OFFROAD ABS allows rear-wheel ABS to be disabled while retaining front-wheel assistance, and a dedicated ABS-off button enables full deactivation when needed. Brembo braking hardware backs it up with a 300 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc.
LC4 powertrain and control
At the heart of the 690 RALLY is KTM’s latest-generation LC4 single-cylinder engine: a liquid-cooled, 692.7 cm³ 4-stroke producing 79 PS and 73 Nm. It’s paired with a 6-speed transmission and managed by Keihin EMS with RBW and twin ignition for precise control. Exhaust routing uses a stainless steel primary and secondary silencer.
For riders focused on long-distance use, KTM also notes extended service intervals, including 15,000 km oil changes, and specifies Motorex Power Synth SAE 10W-50 engine oil.
Fuel capacity built for remote stages
The 690 RALLY’s fuel system is purpose-built for long-distance off-road travel. Two additional front-mounted tanks add 7 liters (1.84 gallons) and work together with the rear tank for a total capacity of 20 l (5.28 US gal).
A dedicated fuel management system allows active switching between front and rear tanks via the handlebar-mounted switch cube. The reserve light corresponds to the selected tank, giving you clearer control over how you manage fuel across long stages and liaison sections.
Chassis, wheels, and braking hardware
A chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame (powder coated) forms the foundation, with a self-supporting plastic tank acting as the rear subframe design. Geometry details include a 62.3° steering head angle, 121 mm of trail, and a 1506 mm wheelbase (listed with a ± 15 mm tolerance). Ground clearance is 265 mm.
Spoked wheels with aluminum rims are sized 1.85 x 21 in front and 2.5 x 18 in rear, paired with Continental TKC 80 tires for mixed-surface use. Braking is handled by Brembo with a twin-piston floating front caliper and a single-piston floating rear caliper, clamping 300 mm (11.81 in) and 240 mm (9.45 in) discs respectively, and drive is via a 520 X-Ring chain.
Rally-focused ergonomics, tower, and lighting
The 690 RALLY is shaped around rider mobility, with slim rally-inspired bodywork designed to support easy transitions between seated and standing riding. Seat height is 935 mm (36.8 in), and the seat’s ergonomic shape is intended to keep movement fluid while providing comfort on longer liaison sections.
Up front, a purpose-built rally tower with an integrated windshield is designed to improve wind protection at higher speeds and over long distances. LED lighting derived from the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is included for visibility in low-light and poor weather conditions. Wide “no-dirt” footpegs help prevent mud build-up, and optional rubber inserts can be fitted for added comfort during road use.
Rider aids, display, and warranty coverage
Multiple Ride Modes include Street and Off-road, with optional RALLY Mode. In RALLY Mode, traction control and throttle response can be adjusted to better match conditions, and Dynamic Slip Adjust (available in RALLY Mode) is designed to automatically increase wheel spin when extra traction is required before returning to the rider’s preset setting.
Advanced rider aids include cornering ABS and cornering MTC using a 6D sensor to adapt braking and traction control during cornering. A 4.2" TFT display provides access to ride modes, navigation, and bike information.
This motorcycle comes with a Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty with up to 4 years of coverage, with regular services required according to the service plan at an authorized KTM dealer.
