CRF250F HondaCare is a HondaCare Protection Plan for Honda CRF250F off-road motorcycles. It’s a HondaCare extended service plan from American Honda, designed to begin where the 6-month Honda limited warranty ends.

The Honda CRF250F HondaCare Protection Plan is an extended service plan from American Honda. The HondaCare brochure describes HondaCare as offering similar features and benefits to the Honda new vehicle warranty, while remaining a separate plan that starts after the factory warranty ends.

Covered system examples (illustrations, not a complete list)
HondaCare provides coverage with examples of covered repairs against defects included in the plan. The brochure describes these as “just some of the many covered repairs against defects included in the plan,” meaning they are illustrations within each system, not a complete list of everything that may be covered.
Engine examples include transmission, cylinder heads, pistons, camshafts, cylinder, crankshafts, and balancer shaft.
Fuel system examples include carburetors, intake manifolds, fuel tanks, fuel petcock, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and control module. Electrical examples include alternator, regulator/rectifier, engine control module, electrical shift system, and ignition coils.
Chassis examples include frame, shocks, swingarm, and steering control rods. Brakes examples include master cylinder, wheel cylinder, drums and rotors, calipers, reservoirs, and anti-lock control module. Cooling system examples include radiator, water pump, thermostat, cooling fans, and oil cooler.
Drive system examples include differential, drive shaft, axles, and CV joints. Actual contract coverages, limitations and exclusions may vary—see your dealer for details.
Exclusions, eligibility, and important notes
The brochure lists certain items as exclusions, including tires, batteries, audio and navigation equipment, accessories, aftermarket equipment and modifications, and regular, required and expendable maintenance.
Racing, competition and rental use will void HondaCare coverage of the vehicle. Competition models that did not receive a new vehicle warranty are not eligible for HondaCare Protection Plans.
HondaCare is available for Honda motorcycles, scooters, SXSs and ATVs that came with, and are still under, a new vehicle warranty. Eligible Certified Pre-Owned vehicles obtained from a Honda dealer can also be covered, and the brochure advises signing up before the new vehicle warranty expires.
