The Pioneer 1000-6 Deluxe Crew uses a 999cc liquid-cooled, longitudinally mounted parallel-twin four-stroke engine with a Unicam® SOHC valvetrain (four valves per cylinder). Fueling is handled by a programmed fuel injection system (PGM-FI) with a 44mm throttle body.
