What is Poway Auction Direct?

Poway Auction Direct is Poway Powersports’ motorcycle buying program that gives customers access to dealer-only auctions through Poway as their broker. These vehicles are not part of our in-store inventory. We help you bid, buy, transport, inspect, and complete DMV processing locally in Poway.

How it works

Find the bike
Browse auction units available through our broker service. Units are off-site and not available for physical inspection prior to purchase. 3rd party detailed photos and inspection reports are available prior to placing your bid.

Agreement + deposit
Sign the Vehicle Broker Agreement and place a refundable security deposit (amount varies by estimated purchase price).

Set your maximum total bid
Your approved maximum includes auction fees, transport to Poway, and a complimentary safety inspection. Taxes, $80 doc fee, broker fee, and DMV/registration are additional.

We bid for you
We monitor the auction and bid responsibly up to your approved maximum. You never deal with the auction house directly.

If you win
You must pay the remaining balance within 1 business day (24 business hours). Friday auctions → due Monday. Monday auctions → due Tuesday. Non-payment forfeits the deposit.

If you don’t win
Apply your deposit to another unit or request a 100% refund (processed the next business day).
Financing may be available on approved credit. A security deposit is still required to bid. Financing is finalized after a successful auction win.

Is this a normal dealership sale?
No. Auction Direct vehicles are sourced from third-party auctions. Poway acts as your broker.
Can I inspect the bike before bidding?
No. Units are off-site and not available for physical inspection prior to purchase however detailed 3rd party inspection reports and photos are made available prior to placing your bid.
What does my maximum bid include?
Your price includes the vehicle, auction buyer fees (wholesale, not broker), transportation to Poway, and a complimentary safety inspection.
What costs are extra?
Sales tax, DMV/registration fees, and the $80 documentation fee, and our Poway broker fee. (varies depending on the sale price)
What happens if I don’t win?
Apply your deposit to another unit or request a 100% refund (processed next business day).
What if I win and don’t pay?
Because auction transactions are binding and non-cancelable, we are contractually obligated to complete the purchase once a bid is accepted. If the buyer fails to submit payment as agreed, the buyer’s deposit will be forfeited.
Can I finance an auction bike?
Financing may be available on approved credit after a successful win. A security deposit is still required to bid. Get Approved Now
If I buy a vehicle from another state, how much does shipping cost?
Is it possible to buy a vehicel at less than my max bid amount?
Yes. We will place bids on your behalf up to your approved maximum bid amount, which includes all auction fees and transportation. If the winning bid is less than your maximum, you only pay the lower final amount.
Can I buy an extended warranty?
Extended warranty options may be available at the time of sale, subject to eligibility and provider terms.

  • Vehicles are purchased sight-unseen (no test ride or pre-purchase inspection).
  • Condition reports/photos are provided by third parties and may be incomplete or subjective.
  • Mechanical or cosmetic issues may exist or be discovered after purchase or during transport.
  • Transport timelines may vary due to auction release schedules and carrier availability.

  • Wearable items (tires, brakes, battery, chain, etc.) may require immediate replacement.

  • Off-site / not in possession: Auction Direct vehicles are not owned by or located at Poway Powersports at the time of listing and are not available for physical inspection.
  • Broker role: Poway Powersports acts solely as a vehicle broker to attempt to purchase a vehicle on your behalf from third-party auctions/consignors.
  • Condition: Vehicles are purchased sight-unseen. Condition reports and photos are provided by third parties and may be incomplete or subjective.
  • Inspection: Any inspection included is a limited safety/operational check and is not a full mechanical certification or cosmetic guarantee.
  • No cancellation after win: Once a vehicle is successfully won on your behalf, the transaction is binding. Failure to complete payment results in forfeiture of the deposit.
