2026 KTM 390 Duke - BLACK

The 2026 KTM 390 Duke in BLACK is a sharp, lightweight naked built for riders who want quick handling and a lively, responsive feel around town and on tight backroads. Its liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 398.7 cm³ LC4c engine puts out 45 PS and 39 Nm through a 6-speed gearbox, managed by Bosch EMS with ride-by-wire. You also get a 5-inch bonded-glass TFT with smartphone connectivity and Turn-by-Turn navigation, plus selectable Ride Modes including TRACK with Launch Control. WP APEX suspension adjustability and cornering ABS with SUPERMOTO ABS round out a focused, modern street package.

LC4c single with RBW

KTM’s latest-generation LC4c platform brings a 398.7 cm³ liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with Bosch EMS and ride-by-wire. Output is rated at 45 PS and 39 Nm, paired with a 6-speed transmission. The package is designed to deliver smooth acceleration and punchy performance in a lightweight streetfighter layout.

WP APEX adjustable suspension

A 43 mm WP APEX open-cartridge fork delivers 150 mm of travel with adjustable compression and rebound to help you dial in feel for your roads and pace. In back, the WP APEX Separate piston shock also provides 150 mm of travel, with rebound adjustment via a 5-step clicker plus preload adjustment for tuning comfort, traction, and stability.

TFT tech plus rider modes

A 5-inch bonded-glass TFT dashboard and updated switch cube make it easy to manage bike functions on the move, including smartphone connectivity for music, incoming calls, and Turn-by-Turn navigation. Ride Modes include STREET, RAIN, and TRACK, with TRACK Mode adding race-focused display graphics and access to Launch Control.

Engine, fueling, and transmission

At the heart of the 390 Duke is a liquid-cooled, 1-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with 398.7 cm³ displacement. KTM rates it at 45 PS and 39 Nm, controlled by Bosch EMS with ride-by-wire for precise throttle management. A 6-speed transmission keeps the powerband accessible whether you’re working through traffic or stretching out a twisty road.

The drivetrain is completed with a 520 X-Ring chain, a proven choice for street durability. CO2 emissions are listed at 79 g/km. KTM specifies Motorex Formula 4T 15W/50 engine oil.

Chassis feel and suspension tuning

The chassis is built around a steel trellis frame, powder coated, with a two-piece construction that incorporates a pressure die-cast aluminum subframe. KTM’s design places the rear shock off-center, a layout intended to create space for a larger airbox while also contributing to the bike’s aggressive stance.

Suspension is WP APEX front and rear, each with 150 mm of travel. Up front, the WP APEX 43 fork offers compression and rebound adjustment. Out back, the WP APEX Separate piston shock is rebound adjustable and includes a preload adjuster, making it straightforward to tailor setup for rider preference and changing road conditions. Seat height is listed at 820/800 mm, and wheelbase is 1357 mm. Weight fully fueled is 165 kg.

Braking confidence and ABS modes

Braking hardware is anchored by a 320 mm front disc paired with a four-piston radial fixed caliper, backed by a 240 mm rear disc. KTM also fits Cornering ABS as standard, helping add control when braking while leaned over.

For riders who want a more supermoto-style approach, SUPERMOTO ABS is included as a standard feature as well, giving the 390 Duke added flexibility in how electronic braking support is applied. The combination of big-disc sizing and modern ABS functionality is aimed at consistent performance across spirited street riding and daily use.

Display, connectivity, and ride modes

The 390 Duke’s 5-inch bonded-glass TFT dashboard is designed to put key info and settings in one place, and it’s paired with a switch cube featuring 4-way menu controls for quick navigation. Integrated connectivity functions support music, incoming calls, and Turn-by-Turn guidance through the display interface.

Ride Modes include STREET, RAIN, and TRACK, selectable via the TFT. TRACK Mode changes the dash presentation with a race-focused layout that enlarges the rev counter and adds features like a lap timer and selected gear display. With TRACK Mode selected, Launch Control can be engaged, with the engine peaking at 7,000 rpm at wide open throttle while you prepare to release the clutch.

Lighting, styling, and finishing details

In BLACK, the 390 Duke’s naked bodywork highlights its sharp, angular lines, visible air intakes, and aggressive stance. KTM specifies a metal fuel tank, color-injected plastics, and external LED positioning lights to complete the look.

All KTM DUKE models come equipped with LED lighting front and rear for strong illumination and visibility in low-light conditions. A high-quality, multi-layer wet-painted finish with clear-gloss graphics is paired with a DUKE textured seat cover, rounding out a premium look and feel that matches the bike’s compact, performance-focused layout.
