2026 KTM 390 Duke - BLUE

The 2026 KTM 390 Duke in BLUE is a lightweight, sharp-handling naked built for riders who want quick reactions in the city and confidence on twisty roads. Power comes from a liquid-cooled 398.7 cm³ single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine making 45 PS and 39 Nm, paired with a 6-speed transmission and Bosch EMS with RBW. It’s equipped with a 5-inch bonded-glass TFT display with smartphone connectivity and Turn-by-Turn, plus multiple Ride Modes including TRACK Mode with Launch Control. WP APEX suspension and a steel trellis frame round out a focused, agile package.

398.7 cm³ LC4c single-cylinder punch

At the core is KTM’s liquid-cooled 398.7 cm³ 1-cylinder, 4-stroke platform, delivering 45 PS and 39 Nm through a 6-speed transmission. Bosch EMS with RBW (ride-by-wire) supports smooth control, while selectable Ride Modes let you tailor response to conditions. For riders who like to fine-tune how the bike feels from commute to canyon, the DUKE’s electronics and updated engine package bring a well-rounded, lively character.

WP APEX adjustability, front and rear

The KTM 390 Duke is set up with WP APEX suspension at both ends, including a 43 mm WP APEX open-cartridge fork with compression and rebound adjustment. Out back, an off-center WP APEX Separate piston shock provides 150 mm travel and allows rebound adjustment via a 5-step clicker, plus preload adjustment. With 150 mm suspension travel front and rear, it’s built to balance comfort, traction, and a more aggressive pace.

TFT + Ride Modes + Launch Control

A 5-inch bonded-glass TFT dashboard and new switch cube with 4-way menu switches put key functions right at your fingertips. Connectivity features support music, incoming calls, and Turn-by-Turn navigation through the display. Ride Modes include STREET, RAIN, and TRACK Mode; select TRACK and you can also initiate Launch Control, which holds the engine at 7,000 rpm with wide-open throttle while you manage the clutch.

Chassis design and planted agility

The 390 Duke’s chassis is built around a steel trellis main frame with a pressure die-cast aluminum subframe. KTM mounts the rear shock off-center, a layout designed to create space for a larger airbox while also reducing seat height and contributing to the DUKE’s aggressive stance. KTM’s stated objective with the frame design is to enhance vehicle dynamics through torsional rigidity, agility, and improved chassis feedback.

A curved cast aluminum swingarm supports the rear suspension with a direct shock mount that’s offset to the side, and the wheelbase measures 1357 mm. Final drive is handled by a 520 X-Ring chain, selected for durability and consistent performance.

Braking performance with advanced ABS support

Up front, braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc paired with a four-piston radial fixed caliper. At the rear, a 240 mm disc manages braking duties. KTM notes the updated brake design is intended to reduce operating temperature, improve resistance to fading, and extend pad lifespan.

For control when conditions change, Cornering ABS and SUPERMOTO ABS are standard features. That combination is aimed at giving the 390 Duke strong braking hardware with electronics that help support stability while you focus on your line and inputs.

Rider interface, modes, and track-focused tools

The 5-inch TFT display is the center of the cockpit, presenting ride information and serving as the gateway to the bike’s settings. TRACK Mode changes the screen layout to be more race-focused by enlarging the rev counter, showing a laptimer, displaying selected gear, reducing the size of the speed readout, and presenting preferred rider aid settings.

Ride Modes are selectable through the TFT: STREET Mode is standard, RAIN Mode is designed to be more controlled in wet conditions, and TRACK Mode is aimed at track use. With TRACK Mode selected, you can engage Launch Control, which holds the engine at 7,000 rpm at wide-open throttle until the clutch is released.

Fit, finish, and lighting details

In BLUE, the 390 Duke’s naked bodywork emphasizes sharp lines, visible air intakes, and an aggressive stance. KTM fits a metal fuel tank, color-injected plastics, and external LED positioning lights to complete the look. Premium styling details include a high-quality, multi-layered wet-painted finish with clear-gloss graphics, paired with a textured seat cover.

All KTM DUKE models are equipped with LED lighting at the front and rear, intended to improve visibility at night as well as in busy traffic or misty road conditions. Seat height is listed at 820/800 mm, and weight fully fueled is 165 kg.
