2027 KTM SX-E 5 ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE
The 48-volt brushless electric motor produces its maximum power without requiring a traditional transmission or combustion engine. Its rated output is 2 kW at 3,200 rpm, while maximum output reaches 5 kW at 3,900 rpm. With a maximum motor speed of 6,000 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque, the system provides smooth power delivery throughout the riding range.
A secondary gear ratio of 8:46 transfers power through a non-sealed 415 chain. The electric drivetrain helps simplify operation while allowing the rider to focus on throttle control, braking, cornering, and overall riding technique.
KTM POWERPACK AND CHARGING
The 2027 KTM SX-E 5 is equipped with a 21 Ah lithium-ion KTM PowerPack traction battery. Its 900-watt charger is compatible with 80–240-volt, 50–60 Hz electrical service, allowing it to work with a wide range of standard power supplies.
Charging to approximately 80 percent takes around 45 minutes, while a complete charge takes approximately 70 minutes. This fast charging capability helps reduce downtime between riding sessions.
WP XACT SUSPENSION
At the front, the SX-E 5 uses a 35 mm WP XACT upside-down fork with 205 mm of suspension travel. The rear is supported by a WP XACT mono shock offering 193 mm of travel.
The combination of premium WP suspension, a 66-degree steering-head angle, and a 22 mm fork offset gives the motorcycle a competition-oriented chassis designed for controlled handling on motocross terrain.
CHASSIS, BRAKES, AND WHEELS
The chrome-molybdenum steel central-tube frame is paired with a glass-fiber-reinforced plastic rear subframe. A tapered aluminum handlebar measures 28 mm at the center, 22 mm through the control area, and 18 mm at the ends.
Front and rear disc brakes use matching 160 mm brake rotors. The wheel setup includes a 1.5 x 12-inch front wheel and a 1.6 x 10-inch rear wheel, creating compact proportions suited to the SX-E 5 chassis.
