View PageThe 2025 Honda CB1000 Hornet SP in Matte Black Metallic is a naked streetfighter built around a 1000cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder DOHC engine with PGM-FI and a 44mm throttle body. It blends bold, understated styling with premium hardware, including a 41mm inverted Showa SFF-BP fork up front and a Pro-Link Öhlins single shock in the rear. Brembo Stylema front calipers with ABS bring strong braking feel, while a five-inch TFT display adds modern cockpit clarity with selectable display settings and Honda RoadSync. It’s a focused, street-ready package with high-end components where they matter most.
A standout SP upgrade is the front braking package: dual 310mm discs with radial-mounted Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers, paired with a premium Brembo radial front master cylinder. ABS is standard, and the rear uses a single 240mm disc with ABS. The result is a premium control-focused setup that emphasizes feel at the lever and confidence in a wide range of street riding situations.
The CB1000 Hornet SP is built around top-shelf suspension components. Up front is a 41mm inverted Showa SFF-BP fork with 5.1 inches of travel, designed to deliver true sportbike-style control. Out back, the Pro-Link Öhlins single shock provides 5.5 inches of travel. Together they support precise handling while keeping the ride composed when the pace picks up.
The cockpit is centered on a big, bright five-inch TFT (Thin Film Transistor) instrument display. You can choose from six display settings to tailor the layout to your preference, and it’s paired with Honda RoadSync for added connectivity. It’s a modern interface that complements the CB1000 Hornet SP’s performance focus without cluttering the bike’s clean streetfighter design.
At the heart of the CB1000 Hornet SP is a 1000cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder four-stroke engine with DOHC and four valves per cylinder. The engine is fed by Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) with a 44mm throttle body, and it’s designed for fast-revving power. Bore and stroke are 76.0mm x 55.1mm, with an 11.7:1 compression ratio.
A classic four-into-one exhaust is part of the package, and Honda notes it’s designed to boost low- and midrange torque and power. Power is routed through a six-speed manual transmission, and a quick shifter allows clutchless upshifts under full power. Final drive is a #525 chain with 15T/45T gearing.
The CB1000 Hornet SP pairs its premium components with street-focused dimensions and geometry. Wheelbase measures 57.3 inches, with 25.0° of rake and 3.9 inches of trail. Seat height is 31.9 inches, and curb weight is 465 pounds (including all standard equipment, required fluids and a full tank of fuel).
Tire sizing is 120/70-17 up front and 180/55-17 at the rear, delivering a wide contact patch and the muscular stance many riders want from a liter-class naked. Fuel capacity is 4.5 gallons, including a 1.0-gallon reserve, giving you a clear idea of the tank’s usable volume for daily rides and longer outings.
Along with its TFT display and Honda RoadSync, the CB1000 Hornet SP includes an all-LED lighting package for a clean, modern look. Rider-assist features listed for the model include Anti-lock Brakes and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Throttle-by-wire is also part of the feature set, paired with five ride modes.
This combination of braking technology, traction management, and selectable riding modes helps tailor the bike’s character to your conditions and preferences, while keeping the controls centered around a straightforward naked-bike layout.
The CB1000 Hornet SP includes a transferable, one year included, limited warranty. For riders who want additional protection, extended coverage is available with a HondaCare Protection Plan.
