2027 Honda CBR1000RR

The 2027 Honda CBR1000RR in Pearl White blends superbike performance with a focused, race-bred feel in a 1000cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder platform. Its PGM-DSFI dual-stage fuel injection with a 48mm throttle body and throttle-by-wire work together with Honda Selectable Torque Control to let you tailor power delivery, torque control, engine braking, and wheelie control. A full-color TFT display keeps key ride data and mode information front and center, while gyro-assisted ABS and a Honda Electronic Steering Damper add confidence across a wide range of speeds. It’s a sharp, modern liter-class supersport built around precision handling.

Tunable electronic control suite

Throttle-by-wire integrates with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to give you detailed adjustability: five power curves, ten torque-control levels, plus three settings for engine braking and wheelie control. Two of the three engine power-delivery modes are fully customizable, making it easy to shape the bike’s response for different conditions and preferences.

Chassis built for precise feedback

Suspension is Showa-equipped with a 43mm inverted SFF-BP fork offering 4.7 inches of travel, paired with a Unit Pro-Link HMAS single shock with 5.4 inches of travel. A lightweight subframe supports the rigid, responsive character, while race-bred ergonomics and improved aerodynamics help reduce width and make it easier to tuck in.

Stopping power and stability tech

Dual 320mm front discs with radial-mounted four-piston calipers deliver strong braking performance, backed by a 220mm rear disc. Gyro-assisted ABS adds an additional layer of control, and the Honda Electronic Steering Damper dynamically adjusts based on speed and handlebar deflection velocity to balance low-speed maneuverability with high-speed stability.

Engine and fueling: 1000cc inline-four with modern control

At the heart of the CBR1000RR is a 1000cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder four-stroke engine with DOHC and four valves per cylinder. It’s built around a 13.0:1 compression ratio and a 76.0mm x 55.1mm bore and stroke.

Fueling is handled by Programmed Dual Stage Fuel Injection (PGM-DSFI) using a 48mm throttle body. Throttle-by-wire adds precision to the connection between your wrist and the engine, and it’s the foundation that allows the bike’s selectable power-delivery modes and traction management to work seamlessly together.

Handling setup: Showa suspension, purposeful geometry

The CBR1000RR’s chassis package is set up to support quick transitions and controlled stability with geometry that includes a 55.3-inch wheelbase, 23.0° rake, and 3.8-inch trail. Seat height is 32.8 inches.

Up front, a 43mm inverted Showa SFF-BP fork provides 4.7 inches of travel, while the rear Unit Pro-Link HMAS single shock offers 5.4 inches. The lightweight subframe is designed to reduce weight while maintaining the rigidity needed for responsive handling. Tire sizing is 120/70ZR-17 front and 190/50Z-17 rear.

Braking, display, and day-to-day usability

Braking hardware features dual 320mm front discs with radial-mounted four-piston calipers, plus a single 220mm rear disc. Gyro-assisted ABS helps support controlled braking, and the Honda Electronic Steering Damper is designed to add stability at speed without giving up low-speed maneuverability.

A full-color TFT screen provides high-resolution, customizable readouts, including speedometer, tachometer, gear position, fuel level, engine temperature, and riding modes. All-LED lighting includes the headlights, taillights, and turn signals for improved visibility. Fuel capacity is 4.3 gallons, and curb weight is 432 pounds (includes all standard equipment, required fluids and a full tank of fuel).

Drivetrain and rider interface

Power is routed through a six-speed manual transmission and a #530 chain final drive with 16T/43T gearing. For smoother corner entries and more controlled deceleration, the slipper clutch is designed to help reduce wheel-hop under aggressive downshifts while keeping lever effort light.

Ergonomics are described as race-bred, with improved aerodynamics that make it easier to tuck in while also reducing overall width. An efficient radiator design supports cooling performance with a narrow profile aimed at aerodynamic efficiency.

Warranty and emissions information

Factory warranty coverage is listed as a transferable, one year included, limited warranty. Extended coverage is available with a HondaCare Protection Plan.

Emissions information notes that the model meets current EPA standards, and models sold in California meet current CARB standards and may differ slightly due to emissions equipment.
