2027 KTM 300 XC-W HARDENDURO

Not in Stock - Taking Reservations

The 2027 KTM 300 XC-W HARDENDURO is a purpose-built extreme enduro machine for riders who spend their time in the most technical terrain. Its 293.15 cm³ 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine uses Keihin EFI with a 39 mm throttle body, paired with Vitesco Technologies EMS and a 6-speed transmission to keep power delivery controllable across changing conditions. HARDENDURO-specific equipment adds durability and rider control where it counts, while WP suspension and a race-optimized steel frame aim for precise feedback through rocks, roots, and tight, slow-speed sections.

2-stroke power with TBI

A 293.15 cm³ 2-stroke single-cylinder platform with Keihin EFI (39 mm throttle body) and Vitesco Technologies EMS is built around responsive delivery for technical hard enduro riding. KTM’s Throttle Body Injection and the separate oil injection system are designed to maintain a consistent fuel-air mixture across varying altitudes and temperatures, helping reduce workload when traction, precision, and control matter most.

Hard enduro protection built in

This HARDENDURO package comes equipped for real contact with the terrain. A radiator fan, skid plate, frame protection set, and front and rear brake disc guards help shield critical components from rock strikes and repeated impacts. Additional details like black anodized engine hangers, clutch slave cylinder protection, and a rear brake safety wire are aimed at keeping the bike reliable when conditions are at their harshest.

WP suspension tuneability

Up front, the WP XACT-USD Ø 48 mm fork is compression and rebound adjustable, with 300 mm of travel. In the rear, a WP XPLOR shock absorber with PDS delivers 310 mm of travel and uses a preload adjuster. The setup is designed to keep control and traction in slow, technical sections while giving you the adjustment range to adapt to changing obstacles and terrain.

Engine, fueling, and map selection

At the center is a 1-cylinder, 2-stroke engine displacing 293.15 cm³, using Keihin EFI with a 39 mm throttle body and Vitesco Technologies EMS. KTM’s Throttle Body Injection (TBI) and separate oil injection system are designed to deliver an optimal mixture and consistent performance across conditions, including changes in altitude and temperature.

To tailor power delivery to the terrain, a handlebar-mounted map-select switch lets you quickly adapt the engine’s character for everything from technical climbs to faster sections. Power is managed through a 6-speed transmission, with primary drive listed as 26:72.

Chassis and steering precision

The chassis is built around a central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 steel frame, paired with an aluminum-reinforced polyamide rear subframe design. KTM describes the frame as engineered for longitudinal rigidity to provide precise feedback and stability in unpredictable, technical terrain.

For front-end accuracy, black anodized CNC-machined triple clamps are used to improve stiffness and alignment for more precise steering feedback. The included front axle puller supports faster wheel servicing—an advantage when you’re working on the bike between hard rides and demanding conditions.

Hard enduro control and ergonomics

HARDENDURO-specific control equipment focuses on reducing effort in tight, slow-speed riding. The bike is fitted with pull straps, soft ODI grips, a Hard Enduro-specific bar pad design, and closed handguards to support confident handling in technical sections.

A dedicated ribbed factory seat uses a high-grip surface to improve stability and rider control, complementing the platform’s ergonomics for long, demanding sections. With a listed seat height of 963 mm and ground clearance of 347 mm, the chassis dimensions reflect its extreme-terrain intent.

Braking, drivetrain, and electrical management

Stopping power comes from a disc brake up front and a disc brake in the rear, complemented by HARDENDURO protection including front and rear disc guards. KTM also specifies a rear brake safety wire as part of the reliability-focused setup for sustained technical riding conditions.

The drivetrain is described as engineered for durability and efficient power transfer in extreme conditions. This model adds a Supersprox stealth rear sprocket, with a 520 X-Ring chain for drive. Electrical reliability is supported by the Offroad Control Unit (OCU), which replaces traditional fuses and relays with an integrated system that manages outputs and isolates faults for easier diagnostics.
