The Honda ADV160 HondaCare Protection Plan is a HondaCare Protection Plan for the ADV160 scooter family, available for ADV160 and ADV160A. It’s an extended service plan from American Honda, with coverage designed to begin where the 12-month Honda limited warranty ends.

HondaCare includes benefits meant to make covered repairs straightforward: nationwide coverage accepted at authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealers within the United States; no mileage or hour limitation; no deductible or co-pay for repairs covered under HondaCare; and transferability to a subsequent owner at no cost.
Optional roadside help
You can select With Roadside to add optional Roadside Assistance. The brochure describes worry-free, nationwide coverage and lists benefits such as emergency towing, fuel delivery service, locksmith assistance, extrication assistance, and a 24/7 toll-free assistance number. For Honda on-road motorcycles and scooters, optional Roadside Assistance can be purchased and used at any time, regardless of the vehicle’s warranty status.
HondaCare for the Honda ADV160
HondaCare coverage offers similar features and benefits to the Honda new vehicle warranty, in the form of an extended service plan from American Honda. For the ADV160, the plan is intended to start after the factory warranty ends rather than replace it.
The Honda limited warranty for this model family is 12 months. The longest HondaCare term available for this product is 60 months (5 Years), which the brochure notes can provide protection for up to 6 Years from new when taken together with the factory warranty.

Nationwide coverage: coverage is accepted at any authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealer within the United States.
No mileage or hour limitation: coverage does not expire at a preset mileage or hour limit.
No deductible or co-pay: there are no out-of-pocket costs for repairs covered under HondaCare.
Transferable: HondaCare is transferable to a subsequent owner at no cost.
Repairs you can trust: backed by American Honda, covered repairs are made by Honda technicians using only new Genuine Honda Parts.
What HondaCare helps cover (examples by system)
The brochure lists examples only—described as “just some of the many covered repairs against defects included in the plan.” These examples illustrate what falls inside each covered system; actual contract coverages, limitations and exclusions may vary.
Engine examples include transmission, balancer shaft, cylinder heads, pistons, camshafts, cylinder, and crankshafts.
Drive system examples include differential, drive shaft, axles, and CV joints.
Fuel system examples include carburetors, intake manifolds, fuel tanks, fuel petcock, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and control module.
Cooling system examples include radiator, water pump, thermostat, cooling fans, and oil cooler.
Brakes examples include master cylinder, wheel cylinder, drums and rotors, calipers, reservoirs, and anti-lock control module.
More covered system examples
Electrical examples include alternator, regulator/rectifier, engine control module, electrical shift system, and ignition coils.
Chassis examples include frame, shocks, swingarm, and steering control rods.
These are not a complete list of covered items. The HondaCare contract sets the actual coverages, limitations, and exclusions for your selected plan.
Important exclusions and situations that void coverage
The brochure lists these exclusions: tires, batteries, audio and navigation equipment, accessories, aftermarket equipment and modifications, and regular, required and expendable maintenance.
The brochure also states that racing, competition and rental use will void HondaCare coverage of the vehicle.
Competition models that did not receive a new vehicle warranty are not eligible for HondaCare Protection Plans.
Optional Roadside Assistance (With Roadside)
If you select the With Roadside option, optional Roadside Assistance provides worry-free, nationwide coverage.

Eligibility basics and timing
The brochure states that a HondaCare extended service plan is available for Honda motorcycles, scooters, SXSs and ATVs that came with, and are still under, a new vehicle warranty.
Eligible Certified Pre-Owned vehicles obtained from a Honda dealer can also be covered.
The brochure advises signing up before the new vehicle warranty expires.
