CBR500R HondaCare is a HondaCare Protection Plan for Honda CBR500R on-road motorcycles. It’s an extended service plan from American Honda, with coverage designed to offer similar features and benefits to the Honda new vehicle warranty.

Your Honda CBR500R includes a 12-month Honda limited warranty, and HondaCare begins where the factory warranty ends. Taken together, the 12-month factory warranty and the longest available 5-year HondaCare term can provide protection for up to 6 years from new.
Optional Roadside Assistance
Add optional Roadside Assistance to your CBR500R HondaCare plan, or select coverage without it. Every CBR500R HondaCare Protection Plan includes nationwide coverage accepted at any authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealer within the United States. Coverage has no mileage or hour limitation, and there’s no deductible or co-pay for repairs covered under HondaCare. The plan is transferable to a subsequent owner at no cost, and covered repairs use new Genuine Honda Parts and Honda technicians.

The Honda CBR500R HondaCare Protection Plan is intended for Honda CBR500R models. It’s marketed under “Protection Under Our Wing” and is administered by American Honda Service Contract Corporation.
HondaCare is separate from the Honda limited warranty. Your CBR500R comes with a 12-month Honda limited warranty, and HondaCare begins where the factory warranty ends.
Coverage terms and pricing options
This CBR500R HondaCare product offers five coverage terms: 1 Year, 2 Years, 3 Years, 4 Years, or 5 Years.
For each term, you can select either Without Roadside or With Roadside. The price shown on the product page depends on the plan variant you select.
Term pricing (USD): 1 Year $370 without Roadside / $420 with Roadside; 2 Years $420 / $490; 3 Years $490 / $580; 4 Years $580 / $680; 5 Years $720 / $840.
HondaCare benefits included with the plan
Nationwide coverage: Coverage is accepted at any authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealer within the United States.
No mileage or hour limitation: Coverage does not expire at a preset mileage or hour limit.
No deductible or co-pay: There are no out-of-pocket costs for repairs covered under HondaCare.
Transferable: HondaCare is transferable to a subsequent owner at no cost.
Repairs you can trust: Backed by American Honda, covered repairs are made by Honda technicians using only new Genuine Honda Parts.
What HondaCare helps cover (examples by system)
HondaCare includes covered repairs against defects within covered systems. The examples below are illustrations only—just some of the many covered repairs included in the plan. Actual contract coverages, limitations, and exclusions may vary; see your dealer for details.
Engine examples include transmission, balancer shaft, cylinder heads, pistons, camshafts, cylinder, and crankshafts. Drive system examples include differential, drive shaft, axles, and CV joints.
Fuel system examples include carburetors, intake manifolds, fuel tanks, fuel petcock, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and control module. Cooling system examples include radiator, water pump, thermostat, cooling fans, and oil cooler.
Brakes examples include master cylinder, wheel cylinder, drums and rotors, calipers, reservoirs, and anti-lock control module. Electrical examples include alternator, regulator/rectifier, engine control module, electrical shift system, and ignition coils.
Chassis examples include frame, shocks, swingarm, and steering control rods.
Items and situations not covered
HondaCare does not cover tires, batteries, audio and navigation equipment, accessories, aftermarket equipment and modifications, or regular, required and expendable maintenance.
Racing, competition, and rental use will void HondaCare coverage of the vehicle. Competition models that did not receive a new vehicle warranty are not eligible for HondaCare Protection Plans.
Optional Roadside Assistance details
For Honda on-road motorcycles and scooters, optional Roadside Assistance can be purchased and used at any time, regardless of the vehicle’s warranty status.

Eligibility notes for HondaCare
A HondaCare extended service plan is available for Honda motorcycles, scooters, SXSs and ATVs that came with, and are still under, a new vehicle warranty.
Eligible Certified Pre-Owned vehicles obtained from a Honda dealer can also be covered.
The brochure advises signing up before the new vehicle warranty expires.
