HondaCare Coverage for the Honda PCX
The Honda PCX HondaCare Protection Plan is a HondaCare Protection Plan for the PCX scooter. It’s an extended service plan from American Honda, designed to begin where your 12-month Honda limited warranty ends, with features and benefits similar to the Honda new vehicle warranty.

HondaCare for the Honda PCX
This HondaCare Protection Plan is offered for the Honda PCX model family (PCX scooters). HondaCare is marketed in the brochure under the line “Protection Under Our Wing.”
HondaCare is a separate protection plan that begins where the Honda factory warranty ends. Your PCX comes with a 12-month Honda limited warranty, and you can choose a HondaCare term of up to 5 Years.

Your PCX includes a 12-month Honda limited warranty. The longest HondaCare term available for this product is 60 months (5 Years).
Taken together, the 12-month Honda limited warranty and the longest available HondaCare term of 5 Years provide protection for up to 6 Years from new.
HondaCare benefits (what the plan provides)
Nationwide coverage: Coverage is accepted at any authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealer within the United States.
No mileage or hour limitation: Coverage does not expire at a preset mileage or hour limit.
No deductible or co-pay: There are no out-of-pocket costs for repairs covered under HondaCare.
Transferable: HondaCare is transferable to a subsequent owner at no cost.
Repairs you can trust: Backed by American Honda, covered repairs are made by Honda technicians using only new Genuine Honda Parts.
What HondaCare may help cover (system examples)
The brochure lists examples only—“just some of the many covered repairs against defects included in the plan.” Actual contract coverages, limitations and exclusions may vary.
Examples within the Engine system include transmission, balancer shaft, cylinder heads, pistons, camshafts, cylinder, and crankshafts. Examples within the Drive system include differential, drive shaft, axles, and CV joints.
Examples within the Fuel system include carburetors, intake manifolds, fuel tanks, fuel petcock, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and control module. Examples within the Cooling system include radiator, water pump, thermostat, cooling fans, and oil cooler.
Examples within Brakes include master cylinder, wheel cylinder, drums and rotors, calipers, reservoirs, and anti-lock control module. Examples within Electrical include alternator, regulator/rectifier, engine control module, electrical shift system, and ignition coils.
Examples within Chassis include frame, shocks, swingarm, and steering control rods.
What the brochure says is not covered
The brochure lists these items as exclusions: tires, batteries, audio and navigation equipment, accessories, aftermarket equipment and modifications, and regular, required and expendable maintenance.
Eligibility notes and usage limits from the brochure
The brochure states a HondaCare extended service plan is available for Honda motorcycles and scooters that came with, and are still under, a new vehicle warranty. Eligible Certified Pre-Owned vehicles obtained from a Honda dealer can also be covered.
The brochure advises signing up before the new vehicle warranty expires.
The brochure states that racing, competition and rental use will void HondaCare coverage of the vehicle. It also states that competition models that did not receive a new vehicle warranty are not eligible for HondaCare Protection Plans.
