HondaCare Coverage for the Honda Transalp
The Honda Transalp HondaCare Protection Plan is a HondaCare Protection Plan for the Transalp adventure motorcycle. It’s an extended service plan from American Honda, designed to provide coverage with features and benefits similar to the Honda new vehicle warranty.

HondaCare plan benefits
HondaCare includes benefits like nationwide coverage at authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealers in the United States, no mileage or hour limitation, and no deductible or co-pay for repairs covered under HondaCare. It’s also transferable to a subsequent owner at no cost, and covered repairs are made by Honda technicians using new Genuine Honda Parts.
Optional roadside assistance
You can add optional Roadside Assistance to your Transalp HondaCare plan. Roadside Assistance provides worry-free, nationwide coverage and includes services such as emergency towing, fuel delivery service, locksmith assistance, and extrication assistance, plus access to a 24/7 toll-free assistance number. For Honda on-road motorcycles and scooters, it can be purchased and used at any time, regardless of the vehicle’s warranty status.

This HondaCare Protection Plan is for the Honda Transalp (model code: TRANSALP). HondaCare is an extended service plan from American Honda, marketed under the line “Protection Under Our Wing.”

Coverage terms and pricing options
Coverage terms available for the Transalp are 1 Year, 2 Years, 3 Years, 4 Years, and 5 Years. You can also choose to buy the plan Without Roadside or With Roadside.
Plan pricing (USD) by term: 1 Year is $440 without roadside or $490 with roadside; 2 Years is $510 or $580; 3 Years is $600 or $690; 4 Years is $710 or $810; 5 Years is $850 or $970.

Factory warranty and total protection time from new
The Transalp includes a 12-month Honda limited warranty. HondaCare begins where the factory warranty ends.
Taken together, the 12-month Honda limited warranty and the longest available HondaCare term of 5 Years provide protection for up to 6 Years from new.
HondaCare benefits included with the plan
Nationwide coverage: Coverage is accepted at any authorized Honda Motorcycle, Scooter, SXS or ATV dealer within the United States.
No mileage or hour limitation: Coverage does not expire at a preset mileage or hour limit.
No deductible or co-pay: There are no out-of-pocket costs for repairs covered under HondaCare.
Transferable: HondaCare is transferable to a subsequent owner at no cost.
Repairs you can trust: Backed by American Honda, covered repairs are made by Honda technicians using only new Genuine Honda Parts.
What HondaCare may help cover (system examples)
HondaCare includes covered repairs against defects within covered systems. The brochure lists examples only—“just some of the many covered repairs against defects included in the plan.” They are illustrations, not a complete list, and actual contract coverages, limitations and exclusions may vary.
Engine system examples include the transmission, balancer shaft, cylinder heads, pistons, camshafts, cylinder, and crankshafts.
Drive system examples include the differential, drive shaft, axles, and CV joints.
Fuel system examples include carburetors, intake manifolds, fuel tanks, fuel petcock, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and control module.
Cooling system examples include the radiator, water pump, thermostat, cooling fans, and oil cooler.
Brakes, electrical, and chassis examples include the master cylinder, calipers, anti-lock control module, alternator, engine control module, frame, shocks, swingarm, and steering control rods.
Important exclusions and when coverage can be voided
The brochure lists exclusions including tires, batteries, audio and navigation equipment, accessories, aftermarket equipment and modifications, and regular, required and expendable maintenance.
Racing, competition and rental use will void HondaCare coverage of the vehicle. Competition models that did not receive a new vehicle warranty are not eligible for HondaCare Protection Plans.
Eligibility and when to sign up
A HondaCare extended service plan is available for Honda motorcycles, scooters, SXSs and ATVs that came with, and are still under, a new vehicle warranty. Eligible Certified Pre-Owned vehicles obtained from a Honda dealer can also be covered.
The brochure advises signing up before the new vehicle warranty expires.
Optional Roadside Assistance (With Roadside plans)
