Is HondaCare available for Talon 1000 models?
This HondaCare Protection Plan is for the Talon 1000 model family, grouped under Sport SxS pricing for Talon 1000 R/X and 2-seat/4-seat variants.
HondaCare extended service plan coverage is available for Honda SXSs that came with, and are still under, a new vehicle warranty. Eligible Certified Pre-Owned vehicles obtained from a Honda dealer can also be covered. The brochure advises signing up before the new vehicle warranty expires.

Engine examples: transmission, balancer shaft, cylinder heads, pistons, camshafts, cylinder, crankshafts.
Drive system examples: differential, drive shaft, axles, CV joints.
Fuel system examples: carburetors, intake manifolds, fuel tanks, fuel petcock, fuel injectors, fuel pump, control module.
Cooling system examples: radiator, water pump, thermostat, cooling fans, oil cooler.
Brakes examples: master cylinder, wheel cylinder, drums and rotors, calipers, reservoirs, anti-lock control module.

Important exclusions and void conditions
HondaCare exclusions include: tires, batteries, audio and navigation equipment, accessories, aftermarket equipment and modifications, and regular, required and expendable maintenance.
Racing, competition and rental use will void HondaCare coverage of the vehicle.
Competition models that did not receive a new vehicle warranty are not eligible for HondaCare Protection Plans.
